CampDoc on an iPad
Hey all - I am considering having our team members who help our campers get on chartered transportation at different drop off points across the state use CampDoc to perform and record a health screening and use the attendance feature to check them in. Has anybody used CampDoc on an iPad before and was it easy to use? Or would you recommend just set up someone with a laptop?

Hi Madeleine! We use iPads to check campers in before they hop on the bus to camp. My best suggestion would be to make sure you have great internet. Our staff take an extra hotspot as back up. Additionally, we test out each drop off point weeks prior to ensure that there is adequate service.

One of my favorite parts of campdoc is how easy i find it to use on a mobile device. I think definitely making sure you've got the internet/5g access (and i'm always a fan of having a paper backup, just in case!)
we have multiple programs at our camp, so for me the most frequent mobile use is for looking up the names on camper mail that doesn't come labelled with their camp on it already! super quick to do with my phone and get the mail sorted- wayyy better than when we compared to paper printouts!

We have sent iPads on so many trips and they are amazing for giving meds, and general use. If your planning on needing to update any actual profile infomation, I have found the screen spaced a little squished for more complex provider tasks but giving meds and other item work very well and it has saved so much time allowing them to have it there. Its very hard to bring paper logs back and make sure you didn't miss something.
